When the Guns Have All Been Fired (music and words: A. Knaff)

When the guns have all been fired
And the ammunitions gone
And the corpses lie in bloody pools
To wait the break of dawn
There will be no mound of earth left
Which to raise your flag upon
When the guns have all been fired
And the ammunitions gone

When the bombs have all been dropped
And the cities all are dust
And the earth has just been ravaged
By the rich man's power lust
There will be no government left
In which to place your trust
When the bombs have all been dropped
And the cities all are dust

When the mines have all been tripped
And the people all have died
And the mothers all are dead
Lying in the tears they cried
There will be no one to take the blame
No punishment applied
When the mines have all been tripped
And the people all have died

When the wars are finally over
And the damage has been done
And the mushroom clouds have darkened out
The lifeblood of the sun
There will be no fucking countries
There will be no fucking one
When the wars are finally over
And the damage has been done

Ghost of the Coal Mine (music and words: R. Hanna)

Father worked the coal mines into an early grave
Sixty hour weeks and not a hope for a raise
McCallahan, the bossman, had an iron fist up his ass
But now he’s haunted by the demons of his despicable past
Father lead five men into an unexplored cave
And in a flash the ceiling crashed, no one could be saved
Well, that’s the way things go,” McCallahan said to my ma
And he left us standing on his porch, our mouths dropped in awe
The next day he forgot that we were even there at all

Chorus:
Now all of the day, the screams of dying men in pain
Clouds this ruthless bastard’s mind who brushed them to the side
And in some feeble way, my father’s death was not in vain
As no one dares to work inside a haunted coal mine

Now every time McCallahan takes a puff from a cigar
His mouth fills up with coal dust and he spits it to the floor
And every time he sees his reflection in the mirror
My father’s blackened corpse stands directly to his rear
The workers couldn’t stand the evil howling in the caves
Or the visions of canaries disembowled by pick-axe blades
And when he goes to sleep McCallahan opens one eye
Forever haunted by the ghosts of those six brave men that died
Forever at the mercy of his evil, foolish pride

Repeat Chorus

Shipwrecked in a Bottle (music and words: R. Hanna)

Dead like a doornail, I drown in this pint of ale
Watching the hours and days disappear
And I drink in the corner, I curse the bartender
My table’s been empty for the last hundred years

Chorus:
And she left me to sink in this mire
And there’s no one here to carry me a’shore
And I’ve sent out a thousand distress calls in bottles…
But they shatter and fall to the floor

Memories are vampires, my past is a landlord
Nailing an eviction to the back of my skull
All lovers are bastards, like the bastards before them
So buy me a whiskey before the last call

Repeat Chorus x2

Lock Me in the Nick (music and words: A.Knaff)

We take pride in our freedom, we take pride in our rights
But if you stand up for equality, it’s the cops who’ll start the fights
Those power tripping bastards, they know they’ve got it good
But they’ve left behind the values, for which this nation stood
They tell us that their mission is to serve and to protect
But from what I’ve seen of what they’ve done, I would definitely object

Bridge:
I can only take so much of their trampling on my head
If they silence my opinion, then I might as well be dead

Chorus:
If I can’t say the things I want to say
Then lock me in the nick and throw the key away
Lock me in the nick, lock me in the nick
Far away from all your bullshit
Throw away the key, throw away the key
Despite what you say I am not free

They bring riots guns and tear gas to a peaceful war protest
That they start that shit for the sake of it, I certainly do detest
And at Mardi Gras they stood aside, and let a young man die
They never raised a fucking hand, it makes me wonder why
They’ll throw down on the lower class, who possess a legitimate bitch
While they’re lining all their pockets from the coffers of the rich

Repeat bridge
Repeat chorus

Grey Sunday (music: R. Hanna, words: P. Jay)

'Twas a dreary December morning, when a knock came on my door
My love confessed then to me that she could take no more
She said she care not love someone who drank to forget his pain
Then with a cold goodbye she slammed the door, then it soon began to rain

Well it’s all the same, again my heart is shamed
when life is just shite all day and all night I’ll just drink my time away
Fog then rain, and tomorrow’s Christmas day
If I can survive this bottle tonight, should I start my life again?

For all my life I’ve been alone locked in this poisoned brain
seems the only key to set me free gets further every day
So here I sit on this barstool, as the pints and shots go down
now it’s February 13th in this grey shithole of a town
And the weather always mocks my mood, as the rain pours down like tears
and I think I’ll take a walk on the bridge when I’ve finished 13 beers

Well it’s all the same, again my heart is shamed
when life is just shite all day and all night, I’ll just drink my time away
Fog then rain, and tomorrow’s valentine’s day
If I should survive thru Saturday night, I can’t face another grey sunday

Well it’s all the same, forever my heart is shamed
when life is just shite all day and all night I just drink my time away
Aye or nay? Should I fly or should I stay?
If I should survive thru Saturday night I can’t face another grey sunday

Gypsy Fiddle (words and music: A. Knaff)

If I said I’ve got no choice, you’d say I’m full of shit
But I truly did not choose to drink and that is the truth of it
I can tell you exactly how I came into these straights
I was walking through the city, and I was coming to the gates

A haunting air did float my way and the music tickled my ear
And before I knew it I was hooked, and I felt her drawing near

Horse hair touched to catgut and the music was divine
I followed her off into the hills as I lost all track of time
I ended my trek by her firelight, and there to my surprise
A band of gypsies joined her tune with a twinkle in their eyes

A haunting air did float my way and the music tickled my ear
And before I knew it I was hooked, and I felt her drawing near

They played so long into the night, I stood transfixed 'til mornings light
Minutes passed and my vision cleared and the gypsy girl had disappeared
A whiskey jug sat in her wake, my heart so heavy, about to break
So I finished the jug to ease the pain of never hearing her tune again

She played her fiddle she played it well
I would have followed that tune through the gates of hell
But the tune now fades like her memory so a fucking drunk I will always be

Sean Reilly (music and words: A. Knaff)

I have a story I think you should hear
so sit down my friend and pour yourself a beer
He was born in the homeland in 1819
And Sean Reilly was the drunkest man this world has ever seen

He started bright and early with that rare old mountain dew
He’d drink down one pint, and then he’d drink down two
He would finish his jug, and head toward the door
And go down to the local pub to drink again some more

1st Chorus:
So raise up your glasses and hail to the king
Sean Reilly was the drunkest man this world has ever seen
Drink down your whiskey when you hear that ceilidh call
Cause there’s a little bit, yes a little of Sean Reilly in us all

Sean Reilly would challenge the roughest of men
He’d drink until they all passed out and challenge them again
They would gather together from all over town
But nary a man could drink Sean Reilly down

Repeat 1st Chorus

Then one night as he sat and drank in walked an Irish lass
She looked him in the eye and said, “I’ll drink you off your ass”
They sat down at the table and poured the whiskey round
And before the night was over she had drunk Sean Reilly down

Soon after they were married, it was the grandest thing
For when she outdrunk him he had finally found his queen
They drank together the rest of their life
As the drunkest of couples: Sean Reilly and his wife

So raise up your glasses and hail to the king
Sean Reilly was the drunkest man this world has ever seen
But his lady could drink until she made Sean Reilly fall
So there’s a little bit, yes a little of Mrs. Reilly in us all!

A Virgin's Demise (the fate of missy MacGregor)
(music: R. Hanna, words: P. Jay)

(new moon verse)
Remember when november came the leaves all turned, the sky turned grey
a malefic fog descended on our humble town.
they say at night a stranger came but no one could recall his name
as everyone who met his gaze fell feverish and numb
and the moon shone down with a cold pale frown
and it marked us with a memory of an ancient fear
and a people once so proud and brave forgot their hearts and hid away
for they feared their daughters final days too soon would come

(new gibbous verse)
and when the dawn returned again 'twas as if the fog had never come
and they wondered had this nightmare, had it all been in their heads
and all had thought their fears were wrong til MacGregor said 'my Missy's gone!'
and they searched the forest far and long but not one trace did appear.
and the moon shone down with a cold pale frown
in the blanket of the night their came a sinister howl.
they all kneeled by their beds and prayed a selfish wish that god would save
them from a grim and early grave and a maniac unknown.

(full moon)
then by the full moons baneful scorn their sweet young flesh was torn
a pair of red glaring eyes the last sight of a virgin's demise
and many a father fell torn apart by this demon from hell
and a howl ripped through the night!

(blood moon verse)
then on novembers final eve a wicked wind blew all the leaves
and a pale and raven lass appeared with eyes as black as night.
as soon as all the people learned MacGregor's daughter had returned
they feared she was a witch and swore she must be burned.
and the moon shone down with a cold pale frown
as they bound her to a stake in the center of the town.
but just as they had lit thee flames a clap of thunder brought the rain
and the people watched and went insane as she turned into a wolf,
and that just stood as proof, Missy MacGregor's not a virgin anymore!

The Death of Michael Flatley ( music and words: R. Hanna)

The day that Michael Flatley waltzed into our village square
The skies turned black and grey
Teeth like razors, eyes of gold, a kerchief ‘round his hair
The women sighed and swayed
Co-opting a thousand years of culture and heritage,
This so-called lord of dance
But this bastard’s reign must surely end with blood and carnage,
We’ll rid him from this land

Chorus:
We’ll hang him from the highest tree and break both of his fucking knees!
Drag the bastard through the rain and kick him in the face again!

For ten long years he profited from our sweat and tears
And drank the alehouse dry
He forced himself upon a girl against her bloody will
Then left her there to die
So grab your pitchforks, feathers and tar, he’s drinking at McCaffey’s bar,
Be sure it will be his last
For without hands a man can’t steal, with gouged-out eyes he can’t conceal
The lies behind the mask

Chorus (x2)

Again, again and again!  Again for all the pain and suffering he caused!
Again, again and again! Again for making our lives miserable!

Drunk and Alone (music and words: A. Knaff)

I've had a hard time with trouble before
I’ve been pissed off and passed out and then kicked out the door
Looking like shit like a drunk ugly whore
But I've never felt worse than I'm feeling tonight

Chorus:
Give me a pint or give me a shot
Give me everything that you've got
I just want to drink like a worthless old sot
And I'll stumble home drunk and alone

I’ve had plenty of time just to sit here and think
But what’s on my mind makes me just want to drink
And thinking of you sends me over the brink
Cause I’ve never felt worse than I’m feeling tonight

Chorus

Misery follows wherever I go
I guess after all it just goes to show
The truth is the same thing I already know
That I’ve never felt worse than I’m feeling tonight

Chorus

As I lie here in the gutter of the street in the rain
I wonder if I’ll ever see you again
And I wish very much that you could feel my pain
Cause I’ve never felt worse than I’m feeling tonight

Chorus
